How the card works:

The Greenacres Gift Cards are pre-paid MasterCard debit cards, which can be redeemed at any of Liberty Properties' seven shopping centres, namely Sandton City Shopping Centre, Eastgate Shopping Centre, Nelson Mandela Square and Alberton City Shopping Centre (Gauteng), Liberty Promenade Shopping Centre (Cape Town) and Liberty Midlands Mall (Pietermaritzburg) and Greenacres Shopping Centre.

The gift cards work in a similar way to any debit card. As you make a purchase, payment comes off your card immediately preventing you from over drawing on your card.

If you want to know the balance on your card, then you can take it to the Information Desk Attendant who will swipe it and provide a balance. Balance enquiries can also be made by sending a request to an SMS number provided on the card.
